Chickapea

We had a difficult time deciding on a name for this little filly.  We got to watch the movie called 7/10 Nell and Jody Foster, “Nell”, called one of the other characters “Miss Chick-a-pea”.   To my surprise, everyone liked the name, including the filly.  I guess that since there is nothing long and lanky about her, she is happy being compared to a garbanzo bean.   Since our first born of the season passed away, luck seems to have been with us.  As Kate left for the Almost Summer Show she jokingly said “if the baby comes while I am away, please make it a bay, paint filly.”  Wow!  She is and with amazing conformation to boot.  Teddy’s latest “chunklet” is just as ordered, a hard to do improvement on both parents.     7/10
