“Sera”

Mandarin Serinande

Sera, as we call her, was imported from the UK with her dam Mandarin Batak.  She was sired by none other than the Mull of Kintyre, aka Romeo.   She is a sooty cream color born 6/9/2006.  We had purchased her silver palomino daughter Mandarin Silver Dancer and loved her.  When Tony called to see if we wanted Sera, we said we would be right there to pick her up.

I really got to know Sera on my multiple nighttime trips to the barn, as we waited for her first foal for us, to arrive.  She is perhaps the most feminine, composed, loving, trusting horse I had ever worked with.   Sera has been a super producer for us, producing SSFR Deal Me In, SSFR Bourbon N’ Cream and SSFR Guess Who’s A Game Changer, to name a few.

As of now, at 20, Sera is retired.  Her foals, grand and great grand foals are found in our herd today.  Thank you, Tony, for our sweet Sera.
