SD Horseshoe’s Babe

Several years ago Kate was asked to help a friend sell a horse.  He was broke to ride and started driving.  We went to see him and we decided to buy him for our program.  Presenting SD Show Me the Sterling.  He was bred by the Downs family in England and imported to the US as a weanling.  He is double bred Wooly Mammoth and has two copies of the W20 gene.   His first 2 foals are winners!  He is adding his classic conformation, heavy bone, abundant hair and splashy markings.  We could not be more pleased with him. 

We have decided to offer SD Show Me the Sterling to a new home where he can influence someone else’s program the same way he has ours. 

Sterling DOES have EPM. He is easy to manage and not on any medication but as a result he struggles to live cover mares. He is very well trained to collect and you can easily cover multiple mares with one collection.
